Knowing your Identity

Grace

Quirky Redhead

Knowing who you are as a person and how you describe yourself and what you do is your identity. It's good to know about yourself and to feel human.

You will be made up of different skills, interests, hobbies and roles.

These could be work, relationships, leisure, health and beliefs.

It is important to not let one thing take over who you are and to have a good balance. If you hold all of you identity based on one fact about yourself and this changes, it could really affect your sense of identity.

What makes you an individual?

Getting to know yourself...

Make a list of 6 facts about yourself that others may not know (so not your appearance)

Now write another 6 things without using any of the facts your already listed.

  • 1

  • 2

  • 6

The second list usually explores what you are inside, rather than just descriptions of external factors, like jobs or relationships or hobbies. It's what lies underneath the titles, roles, achivements and labels.
