BPD Diagnostic Criteria

Grace

BPD is manifested by a pervasive (unwelcome) pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image and affects, and marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indictated by five (or more) of the criteria above.

Sometimes reading the symptoms can help you relate and identify how you're feeling. However, no one ever fits into boxes and we may have many other symptoms or even diagnoses.

Identifying the symptoms is not cause to collect them all, 5 must be experienced to be diagnosed with BPD. You do not have to have them all.
